Disconnected Breif

In my music video of "disconnected" I will be ripping footage off of old family films of Jazz and her brother playing when they were younger, this will include holiday footage as well as footage from their home, this will be of the children playing in the garden.It will have a crackly effect nd been shown in sepia. I will also be shooting jazz in whitchers woods in leigh park as it has a real enchanting feel about it, its an beautiful natural setting.  I will shoot jazz in a white dress like the one shown above, and also she will be bare foot. In the video at the beginning will show old footage then it will cut to jazz in the woods, sat on a tree like the picture above (mid shot), then moving around her, as a pan. I will then have a tracking shot of her walking around have long shots of her walking through the woods singing and reminiscing with other old flashbacks of them in their childhood but these will be videos that show them older than the ones shown at the beginning. It will then show jazz carrying on her journey through the woods where she'll stop and walk around a tree holding on with one hand (long shot slowly zooming into then tracking shot of her moving around tree) . The story will end of a shot of her saying goodbye to her brother who is about to go to afghan he will be in his army uniform, she will be having a picture in the film with him and then hugging him this will be a long zoom in shot. This will be set in Jazz's home.

Assignment 2 task 2

For this track i see images of old film of her and her brother growing up and going through change i also see her walking through woods on her own as it is quite a slow song .

It will tell a story as it will show change through the years then show her lonely on her own in the woods without her brother. The footage would be wide shots of them playing as children, then close up's of expressions on there faces and also footage of them growing up through the years. The family footage would be of them at family parties , family holidays , and also times of them together at home. The footage of them will then fade out to leave the artist wandering around the woods on her own, to show loneliness. I'd have her dressed in a white dress with lots of layers, a ragged but pretty dress and bare foot when walking in the forrest to show freedom and being able to do what she wants but without her brother. At the end id have a picture that looks like a postcard of her brother in his army uniform next to her.

Assignment 1 task 1

JAZZ MORELY- DISCONNETED.

The song disconnected has a theme of change, she is singing about her brother going to fight in afghanistan. The mood of the song is sad, the tone of the song is mellow it is a soulful sound. The mood and tone are similar to other songs, especially when artists do an acoustic cover. My example of a similar person and genre to compare her to is Pixie lott , as they have a similar voice and when Pixie lott does an acoustic cover they have a similar tone. My Group Presentation On Family Guy.

Our clip was a scene from family guy, the famous family guy chicken fight. Although i was absent during the presentation, My group, Amica, Kerri and Sophie , have told me that it went well, although in feedback Ang said that instead of reading off the slides we should have made a script. In our presentation we included , Non-Diegetic sounds , Diegetic sounds and also ambient sounds that we had analysed from the clip this included things such as the orchestra used at the beginning for the theme tune we used this as our major example for Non-Diegetic sounds . We also picked out many Diegetic sounds such as the car passing on the road and the explosion of the boat. Finally Ambient sounds one of our examples of ambient sounds in this clip is when Peter Griffin is in the shop, In this part you can hear typing on the till this is a good example of an ambient sound. We came to the conclusion that the sound used in family guy is mainly diegetic. Although i was not present for the evaluation i did take part in putting the presentation together, in future i will try and insure that I will be present for the work so I am not letting my group down in anyway.

I have chosen the song "sexy and i know it" LMFAO.  I have chosen it because they are acting out the lyrics in the music video. For example when he says "i work iut" he has a weight. and when he says when im on the beach he actually is. The song sets a happy mood and this is shown also in the music video by the dancing and vibrant colours.

Coldplay The Scientist Analysis

The mood of the song is a sad song , he is wishing he could go back in time so that things he regrets hadn't happened. The visuals are very well coordinated with the lyrics as its showing a story but backwards. The video does very well at setting the mood and showing the narrative for the lyrics.
